Like magic, this beautiful couple found each other later in life. They found a 50+ acre piece of land, and decided to celebrate the start of a new life with a custom home that would be comfortable for just the two of them, but also open welcoming arms to a small army of adult children and grandchildren on a regular basis.
Our end result is a long, low farmhouse, sitting close to the land with wide sheltering porches and plenty of connection between interior and exterior. The house offers one story living for it's owners, and is designed to accomodate handicap accessibility as they age.
The upper level is designed for the delight of the grandchildren, with a bunk-room, a reading nook tucked under a window overlooking the stairwell, and a "secret" walk through closet. The "jack and jill"bathroom offers two toilet rooms connected by a bathing room for the comfort of multiple combinations of houseguests.
