The challenge was taking a cramped dysfunctional space holding a total of
three sinks, two toilets, one tub, and a bidet, and creating a master bath with
a luxurious feel, a fully functional hall bath, and a walk-in closet for two. The
budget didn’t allow us to change the location of existing windows or add
skylights to the largely interior space.
The solution was a master bath with a walk-in shower, a large interior walk-in
closet, and a hall bath with a corner sink and full-sized tub. One of the existing windows is over one sink basin, balanced by a mirror over the other basin with matching trim. The other window is in the walk-in shower. The wall between
the walk-in shower and the hall bath tub is glass block, allowing light to flow
into both rooms.
